Secrets from Louisiana

So glad you have stopped by for a visit. We have many secrets here in Louisiana. We are a quilters haven because of all the interesting things we have in our environment to see, smell, taste and feel. Our flowers are like perfume in the evening and the colors explode in your eyes. Our seafood is the best in the world and is bountiful from the Gulf.

The palette is non stopping.

All Done

Sorry I have been gone soooooooooo long! Christmas shopping all done! Thanksgiving completed 15 at the table, went really smooth, cut the menu down to basic foods. Big Hank brought the fried turkey(did you think in Louisiana we bake the bird?) and dressing.  My niece and her husband came for the first time with their new baby and their toddler, very nice. My Nicolas and Naomi were missing but came the next day, had a GREAT visit.

I recycled  the food this morning, a pie with dressing on the bottom, turkey and gravy, then cranberry sauce, then a pie shell, bake @ 350 for 45 minutes. Mashed the sweet potatoes, and made a soup with turkey broth, broc., turkey and some carrots. Baked chicken breasts and baked the "old" apples. Done for the week! Thats how I like to cook. I will pass the pecan pie to Mike and Steve will get the apple pie. DONE!!!!!

Now to get to the quilts that need to be quilted. I will be using the Elna 7300 with the built in walking foot. I will also be using the computer for deals and steals today. Thats my plan and I am sticking to it.
Will be in touch!

Hugs Patticake
