Secrets from Louisiana

So glad you have stopped by for a visit. We have many secrets here in Louisiana. We are a quilters haven because of all the interesting things we have in our environment to see, smell, taste and feel. Our flowers are like perfume in the evening and the colors explode in your eyes. Our seafood is the best in the world and is bountiful from the Gulf.

The palette is non stopping.

A Quiet Day

Hello to all and a Happy New Year. I have been home now for 2 weeks and you would be surprised how much you can get done when you organize your activities. I have completed cleaned and sorted the house, why you ask, so I can have a lot of sewing time. I can only work 10 more days till August 1 , 2013. A stupid law that affects some retirees. It has nothing to do with social security which I don't receive. But enough of that.

We have had a wonderful Christmas Holiday and had a wonderful 2 weeks in Texas visiting with friends. The entire family was here which is all 9 of us including grand children. Spent the entire day wednesday with little 6 foot Hank , home from LSU. What a treat that was, miss him sooooooooooo much. He is 45 minutes down the road in Baton Rouge but is a pre med student and is extremely busy so we have to visit on extended holiday. I only saw Nicolas and Naomi a few times as the since their visit was short. Their quilts came out great and of course they loved them since MMP made them!

Cousin Bonnie's daddy is in the last stages of life, probably 48 hours to go, he is # 15 in a line of 17 children with only Aunt Clare and Uncle Leo going to be left. Uncle Lou is 95 years old.  We pray his soul slips easily on.

I have 2 UFO's to work on then it is a queen size for Melissa. Thats my plan and I am sticking with it!

New Years Resolution Stay with my WW program and complete it by 2014. Add some movement each day.

Hugs Patticake
