Secrets from Louisiana

So glad you have stopped by for a visit. We have many secrets here in Louisiana. We are a quilters haven because of all the interesting things we have in our environment to see, smell, taste and feel. Our flowers are like perfume in the evening and the colors explode in your eyes. Our seafood is the best in the world and is bountiful from the Gulf.

The palette is non stopping.

Catching Up

With a sad heart I am reporting that my dear friend Marge from Star Buck Washington buried her wonderful husband today. They had been married for a zillion years. He will be sadly missed. Ivan was a giant of a man but was as gentle as a sweet man could be. I plan of talking to her on Monday.

I will begin work teaching on Tuesday at the same little school that I was at last year. I will be at that position for at least 8 weeks. The last week in march is my retreat  in Branson so I will be at retreat. We are all fine, the weather has really been cold . This coming week we are looking at 19 degrees, way to cold for south Louisiana.

I am quilting and planning a mystery for retreat. House is in order and clothes are ready for work.

The cyst that I had surgery for last March came back. I wore new shoes in December and they rubbed the cyst and it became enlarged and during the night it exploded and disappeared. What a blessing. Thank God for small things.

Hugs and Happy New Years
