Secrets from Louisiana

So glad you have stopped by for a visit. We have many secrets here in Louisiana. We are a quilters haven because of all the interesting things we have in our environment to see, smell, taste and feel. Our flowers are like perfume in the evening and the colors explode in your eyes. Our seafood is the best in the world and is bountiful from the Gulf.

The palette is non stopping.

Happy Pre 4th of July

Another day another dollar, thats the kind of day it is. Boiling the fat from some ribs and making them tender in the process for tomorrow. My brother is coming over whohoo, haven't seen him in a while. Doing some turkey burgers also and having cold slaw and some kind of diabetic dessert. Sounds like a plan.

Didn't get the quilt cut yesterday, I was off kilter all day, felt like I was weak and dizzy, feel fine today, thank goodness. Went to lunch with Armond and Tayna yesterday at the olive garden, ate veggie soup and 3 servings of salad, no bread sticks good for me!!!!!!!!!!!!! Steve and I watched the Daytona 400 race lots of crashes toward the end, great race.

I am starting to cut Hank's quilt this morning, have it all figured out, would like to get it done in 2 weeks so the quilter caqn get it done by the end of the month. WE will see, I work well under pressure always.

Retreat reservations are moving well, 10 rooms spoken for, way to go girls, keep adding names we can add rooms.I will start projects  kitsin November for Demo's. This going to fun Steve and Dixie are going with me and we are making a extended vaction out of it.
