Secrets from Louisiana

So glad you have stopped by for a visit. We have many secrets here in Louisiana. We are a quilters haven because of all the interesting things we have in our environment to see, smell, taste and feel. Our flowers are like perfume in the evening and the colors explode in your eyes. Our seafood is the best in the world and is bountiful from the Gulf.

The palette is non stopping.

Oh Happy Day

oh happy day, we are quilting our brains out in Branson, we have 22 gals sewing 24-7.   Did a class today on a mystery quilt and they came out beautiful.  I love quilting with my quilt buds, they are so much fun..The hotel is great and we couldn't ask for a better place.

I had blue hair today and it got louder as the day went on. Some little girl on the elevator said her mom was a hairdresser and she could fix my hair, though I would laugh my ass off!!!!!!!!!!!

In the Holding Pattern

Walked this morning at 6am, still wobbling around. Cutting and splitting logs yesterday put a strain on my left arm and elbow. The wood is done and with so much we are done, done and more done. Today is a grocery , meds and dog supplies shopping day. Planning Steve's birthday gathering  and ordering nibbles and cake are also on the agenda. No sewing it is all packed in the trunk and if I open it things will fly out. Go figure.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am sitting here working  my laptop with my tablet next to it and my android phone and they all have the same information, what is wrong with this picture??????????? Just food for thought.

Been Busy

It has been awhile since we chatted, sorry about that I have been busy with life! I have been getting ready for retreat in Branson Mo., we leave on Thursday morning for 10 days. Whoo hoo I have been busy cutting quilts, I have 9 cut and ready to sew. We will be having classes all week and of course a quilt shop hop to the many quilt shops and chocolate and did I say eating and snacking and talking our brains out, catching up with old friends and making some new ones. My trunk is so packed Steve says to only open it when I can place my hand on the trunk so stuff doesn't fly out. FUNNY Guy

Everyone is doing well, little Hank is killing them at LSU with a 4.0 in premed, Mike is working and having a bit of fun on the weekend catching up with friends, Big Hank's business is up and doing well, his girlfriend is fun, Steve went back to work for a friend, but can take time off to travel when we go to Texas, and I am walking every morning at 6am with Steve and Big Hank, doing well still doing WW's program, losing slowly but continuing on. My brother is hanging in and cousin Bonnie is recovered from the fractured hip. Her Husband Donald is fighting his cancer, not giving up. Bonnie has 4 new great grand babies coming this year, one set of twins and 2 singles.

I made 30 pillow cases to donate to a charity and one donation quilt to take with me. My pillow cases are all childrens fabrics, all seams are finished, nice work for this lady .

We are having a birthday celebration Wed evening for Steve he turns 70 on thursday! HAPPY BIRTHDAY MY SWEET MAN!
