Secrets from Louisiana

So glad you have stopped by for a visit. We have many secrets here in Louisiana. We are a quilters haven because of all the interesting things we have in our environment to see, smell, taste and feel. Our flowers are like perfume in the evening and the colors explode in your eyes. Our seafood is the best in the world and is bountiful from the Gulf.

The palette is non stopping.

What a great Day

Queen Bees had their meeting today and it was wonderful to see some old friends and make some new ones through out the day. I also got some sewing in also. We have some of the most talented quilters in the world in our group. Show and Tell was fab. The quilter of the month just left us breathless with her quilts, what talent she displayed. I am so sorry I won't be back probably till January if I don't get a teaching assignment.

All is well here on the home front, rain and thunder but al least it cooled the temps down a lot. Hope to hear from some of you soon.

Hello Ladies

I am still alive just very busy. Know what I am doing surprise just getting along with life. I have been to another retreat this time with some of my SewNSew Sisters in Oregon. My friend Andre flew with me for a week of sewing and sewing we did. Andre shopped and shopped till she had to buy another suitcase. (It was her first time to the Sisters Quilt Show, this happens to all first timers.)

WE are all good down here in Louisiana. IT is terrible hot so we stay inside a lot. I have finished 2 queens, 3 sofa, 9 tabletoppers and 2 twin commission quilts. I have the 2 pillow shams left to do. But you know me I have 2 stacks of lovely fabric calling to me , "cut me first". So this afternoon I am looking over patterns as we speak.

Stay well!
