Secrets from Louisiana

So glad you have stopped by for a visit. We have many secrets here in Louisiana. We are a quilters haven because of all the interesting things we have in our environment to see, smell, taste and feel. Our flowers are like perfume in the evening and the colors explode in your eyes. Our seafood is the best in the world and is bountiful from the Gulf.

The palette is non stopping.

Day Six

Today is day six of rolling around and not being able to be independent. YUG! This is not me and I have turned my DH into a domestic! Who knew. We go to the doctor today to have the foot dressing changed. It will be wonderful to have this boot thingie off even if it is 10 minutes, try to sleep with it. Don't have a  nightmare blood will fly.heheheee

I have almost finished the binding on quilt number one and have quilt number 2 ready to bind. I sewed on my Animals of Louisiana squares and almost have one finished. I will be cutting a mystery quilt this week from Quilters Club of America called City Streets it takes 6 weeks to complete, lots of time to get it done. New directions each Friday how sweet is that

I'm Back

No I didn't fall off the planet, just got busy teaching and sewing and traveling. We are all fine and am enjoying what life brings each day. Actually glad to wake up every day and have another 24 hours to enjoy.

Steve is working for Big hank every day and so is Mike. Little Hank is home from LSU for the summer and is at SLU in Hammond doing and organic chem class and working for his Dad.

I am sewing with girlfriends, vol. with Habitate and getting stuff organized for a gaint yard sale and a large donation to the resale store. I have to donate some quilts. I have way too many stacked up. I will try to sell some also in Georgia in October.

My brothers house is being redone by habitate, so now it is livable. We help all we could but it just got away from us needing major repair from water damage. It caused structure problems.
Dixie is doing great, what a wonderful dog, I was so lucky to adopt her!

Nicolus and Naomi
will be coming for several weeks this summer, they are getting so big and they are so smart in school.  Nic is a war buff at 9 years old. Nay is a fashioneaster are 8 years old. She love shiney stuff to wear. (Just like her MMP)

We have the retreat set for March 2014 on March 23-30th, filled in 45 minutes of posting. My girls love a good time, and off course it in is Branson.
